Pennon Education understands that learning happens everywhere. We are dedicated to connecting educators, families, children and adults to lifelong learning through impactful partnerships, curated resources, educational programming, professional development and standards-based lesson plans.
Pennon Education works alongside our fellow Pennon organizations — WITF, LNP|LancasterOnline and The Steinman Institute for Civic Engagement — to use our collective strengths to nurture local education, information literacy, civic engagement and the arts within our community.

How We Support the Community
We know we can make a bigger and more meaningful impact when we work together, so we partner with community organizations to connect with and meet our community where they are.
We support local and statewide educators through professional development opportunities so teachers can learn about innovative research and approaches and apply it in their classrooms.
Our Explore in the Classroom program reaches hundreds of students each year in school districts that experience persistent opportunity gaps. This program delivers high-quality STEM and literacy that are aligned with PA-Core standards and/or Pennsylvania STEELS standards.

Pennon Education provides free educational events, high-quality summer camps led by professional educators and engaging after school programs for families in our community.
We also host the annual Central PA Spelling Bee. Students from across Central Pennsylvania compete to earn a spot in our regional Bee. Then, the winner of our Bee earns the opportunity to compete nationally at the Scripps National Spelling Bee!
